 8 Reasons Bigger is better

Bigger is better, but bigger is not always better. But here, we are looking at what make bigger to be better in most cases. Below are some reasons why bigger is often better:

1.     The bigger the obstacles the better the gain: I have come to discover that obstacles in our lives are of different magnitudes. Some problems are simple, some are not that simple, some others are difficult while some other still are very difficult or of special difficulty. I also have discovered that most people do not like works or duties or responsibilities or tasks which are difficult. Why is this so? Because, most of the people do not like to work that much. Just like the different sizes of our obstacles or challenges or problems, so also are the gains from such difficulties.

At this point, it is good to ponder on these success principles:

(A). seek out and do what is difficult and what challenges you, not what is easy.

(B). do something hard every day.

(C). seek discomfort often.

(D). Obstacles are opportunities for progress.

(E). problems are prices for greatness.

(F). lean into challenges.

(G). sooner or later those who want to succeed must attack the most difficult works.

(H). do one thing every day that scares you.

(I). successful people do what unsuccessful people are not willing to do.

(J). if you are going through hell keep going.

(K). prepared, if beaten or bidden, to return a thousand times to the most depressing duty or disagreeable duty.

(L). do deep work daily.

(M). the things I prayed for, dear Lord give me the grace to labor for.

(N). young people have to work hard during the day and require their free time to rest.

(O). success is not achieved by sudden flight. Success achiever are neither sleeper nor idlers but they are real toilers.

If you study these success principles carefully, you will discover that the key emphasis are center around difficult works or duties or tasks or responsibilities and not on simple ones. These goes to show that, difficulties or obstacles or challenges or problems carry much gains than the simple or easy ones. That is why people must learn to bring in the best into their work, simple or difficult and face all they have to face to gain the crown or the throne or the treasure. So, the bigger the difficulty of the works or duties, the bigger the gains attached to them.

2.     The power of action must be equal to your dream: The power of actions or strength that can help you to make your dream come true varies in degrees. There are actions or activities that can help you to achieve your dream and there are actions or activities that cannot help you to achieve your dreams. You have your little strength and your full strength or complete strength or all your strength. When doing what will help you to achieve your dream, use your full strength or all of your strength in doing it.

If your power of actions or strength is not equal to your desire and your faith, you cannot be able to achieve that desire of yours. Ponder on these success principles:

(A). into every work should be thrown the best that we can give. Simple or difficult.

(B). we must do what we can while we are still strong.

(C). one must bring to his or her work all his or her intelligence and all his or her strength, by careful method and by perseverance.

(D). one must give to the utmost of his capacity.

(E). go to the end of your strength before you complain.

(F). God must be pursued and the more you chase Him, the more you catch Him.

(G). success is 99% my effort and 1% God’s input.

(H). your powers of action will always be equal to your desires and your progress in faith.

A careful study of the principles above, indicates that your full strength is better than little of your strength. You cannot achieve your dream with little of your strength.  To make your dream come through, your powers of action or your strength must equal your desires and your progress of faith.

3.     Effects only the best: To effect means to produce. It is to act so as to bring into existence. To carry out the best is the call of this success principle. If you cannot effect the best, you will probably not be able to see the best. To gain the best, you must have to give the best. It is often believed that to effect the best will always bring the best result. When you are acting poorly, what do you expect? The best, sorry, you would not get it.

People who acted and act poorly gets the same poor results. It is not possible to gain the benefits of what you cannot give. When you leave the best, and you are busy acting on the bad or the wrong or the negative things and you are expecting to get the same result with someone who is busy acting on the best or effecting the best, you are seriously acting based on self-deception or delusion.

The result of effecting only the best is not the same with effecting the less. There will always be that differences, that shows that effecting only the best is better than effecting the least. So, the best is bigger than the less or the least.

4.     Think only the best: when you think you can’t, you can’t but when you think you can, you can. When you think the worst for your life and when you think the best for your life. Which one better? People get what they think about most of the time. Thinking only the best will help you to do all and face all that you have to face because you think you can. If you do not think you can do it, you cannot do it.

The impact of thinking only the best is much more powerful than thinking something lesser than the best. When you are thinking only the best, it will help to focus your mind in doing only the best that make you to get or gain the best. What you think about yourself often come true. You are as successful as you think yourself to be.

Your future is molded by your thinking now. Thinking is a very difficult work or thing to do. Thinking only the best bring home your dream or make your dream come through faster. Thinking poor makes one poor. The reason why most people are poor is because of their poor thinking. So, thinking only the best is bigger and better than thinking poor.

5.     Thinking in terms of how much can I give to gain the object in view: Thinking in term of how much can I give to gain the object in view, is not popular with most people. What is popular with people is thinking in term of just how little can I give to gain the object in view? Most of the people, prefer to think little to give little to gain much. Instead of thinking to give much to gain much. When you are thinking of giving little to gain bigger, you will distract yourself from doing what you are supposed to do.

To achieve success, one need to think of how much he or she can give to gain the object in view. This will bring out your strength and help you to do what is required of you. One factor which is responsible for thinking in term of just how little can you give is the problem of not wanting to work that hard or much. But if you are thinking in term of how little you can give to gain the object in view, you will probably not gain that object in view.

It is what you give, you will gain. People must learn to throw in the best into their works. If you much, you will gain much and if you give little, you will gain little. So, think in term of how much you can give is bigger and better than thinking in term of just how little can I give.

6.     Higher ideals are better: Higher ideals are better than low ideals. There are high ideals and also low ideals. Lecky the historian, maintained that the world is govern by its ideals. So, the individual person is also govern or rule by his or her ideals. The low ideals cannot uplift the person who hold onto it. It is only the higher ideals that uplift the person who upholds it.

If you want to be uplifted, practice the high ideals; they uplift persons just like organizations which upholds high ideals. The benefits or impacts of upholding the high ideals outweighs that of low ideals. Ideals are standards of behaviors. If the standard is low, the action will be low. But if the standard is high or very, the action will be high.

You can never grow above your standard. So, high ideals are better than low ideals that is why high ideals are bigger than low ideals. To achieve success faster, it is good to practice high ideals much more than low ideals.

7.     What you sow is what you will reap: It is often said that, what you sow is what you reap. If you sow sparingly, you will reap sparingly but if you sow abundantly, you will reap abundantly. This follow the laws of nature, because, nature does not forgive. What you sow is what you reap falls in line with this principle, ‘what I give, I gain’. It is what you give that you gain. You cannot gain something different from what you give. If you give poorly, you will gain poorly. And if you give richly, you will gain richly.

Most people want to sow poor or sparingly and reap greatly or abundantly. This happen when you no longer, see yourself as the miracle you want to see. Success does not happen by magic or by miracle, you must pay the price. For labor is far better than favor.  Why? Because, labor comes along with favor and favor come with labor. Saint Thomas Moore affirmed, ‘The things I prayed for, dear Lord give me the grace to labor for’. You can only reap what you sow. Sowing abundantly is bigger than sowing sparingly.

8.     Think well of yourself through great deeds, not small deeds: There is only one way to think well of yourself. It is through great deeds. Most often, most people do not think well of themselves but they think they do. They spend much of their time doing the small deeds. Because they love the small deeds. You will not be able to discover who you are through the act of small deeds. Small deeds limit people from getting to top. Success requires great deeds.

When what you love is not the same with what you are supposed to do and should do, no matter how you love what you love, it will not yield equal results. Most people do not like to work harder or that hard. That is why they love small deeds. Thinking well of yourself in great deeds is the way to gain the object in view faster.

Most people think poorly of themselves through small deeds.  You are doing great deeds or things because you think you can. And you are doing small deeds or things because you think you cannot do great deeds or things. So, thinking well of yourself through great deeds is better and bigger than thinking well of yourself through small deeds.

These above (8) eight factors or variables are the reasons why to a large extend, bigger is better.
