Why You Should Bear the Journey Patiently


The journey is human life. Human life is full of challenges, may I add, difficult challenges and obstacles. Some of the obstacles are small obstacles while some others are big obstacles. You just have to face them anyway. Human life is stormy. It is often said that life is not a bed of roses. If life is not a bed of roses, then life is a bed of thorns. But the question here is; “Is there any thing you can do to make your life a bed of roses”? Let your mind runs wide. Why must I bear the journey? Is it compulsory I must bear the journey? Or can’t I ignore and forget about the journey? These are questions begging for answers. Below are some reasons you should bear the journey patiently:

1.    1. The prize lies at the end of the journey: Every journey has a prize attached to it. To get or gain the prize, you must undergo the journey. The journey is a necessary evil. That is why it is believed that success is a journey and yes it is. You must make up your mind to travel the journey.

But if you are not ready, you may remain stagnant in your life. Everyone has somewhere to go except if they are comfortable with where they currently are. If you are comfortable with where you are, remember, there is something bigger and better than where you are.

Your cherished dreams or highest pruposes reside where something is bigger and better. You must leave your comfort area to catch your dreams. So, if you are prepare for the prize, the journey is a must. Because the prize lies at the end of the journey.

2.     2. The journey is to freedom: The journey is to freedom. And freedom is not free. Freedom is a price you must pay to get the prize. Until you pay the price, you would not get the prize. Success is describe as a long road to freedom.

The journey to freedom requires doing certain things which may not be comfortable for you. But because you are in need of freedom, you will make up your mind to do those things required to get your freedom no matter how difficult they may be.

The journey to freedom is a journey to the promise land. So if you do not start the journey, you will not reach or get to the promise land.  

3.     3. Success is not a destination but a journey: Some people are of the opinion that success is both a journey and a destination. But human life is not a destination but a journey. So in view of this, your success is a journey and not a destination.

To support this assertion of success is a journey, Maimonedez said, that “God must be pursue and the more you chase Him, the more you catch Him”. This is amazing! This means that the less you pursue God, the less you catch Him. This settles it.

Success is a journey of human life. So, if success is a journey and not a particular destination, you just have to face the journey.    

4.     4. You need the journey to grow and flow: Growing is one of the opposite of stagnancy, the other is flowing. If you are not growing you will remain stagnant. The journey is a necessity to grow. That is without the journey, there is no growing and flowing.

If you compare two groups of people based on the experiences of a journey, those who have not embark on any journey tend to have limited experiences compare to those who have embark on at least a journey to some other places those others have not being.

The truth is that if you want to grow, you must go on the journey.

5.     5. If you must get the treasure: Treasure in most case are located far from where you are. Some treasure are located in a very complex terrain, some are buried deep into the ground and some are hiding in a very challenging places.

Treasures are not so easy to get. If you remain where you are, you cannot get to the treasure. You must do something to get the treasure. And what is that thing that you must do? You must go on a journey.

6.     6. The journey is your race or your hurdles or your battle: The race or your hurdles or the battle is the journey. This means that the journey are the challenges or difficulties or problems or obstacles you must overcome to reach your goals. These challenges or difficulties or problems or obstacles are the price to your greatness.

If they are the prices to your greatness, it means that the journey must be executed or done for you to reach your greatness. Since the journey is your race, you have to finish your race or your battle, you have to fight till the end.                          

These reasons cited above are enough why you should bear the journey patiently.
