 What it takes to shine: 8 things it Take to Shine

 

To shine takes one whole life. Meaning, it is rigorous, tough, or difficult, and even depressing to shine. The term shine means to be distinguished or eminent. To shine, one must be ready to face the most rigorous, toughest, or most difficult and most depressing duties. To shine, you do need to dodge or avoid or escape or evade or turn away from what you should do or supposed to do. To shine is a war. It is your war.  You must fight to the finish or to the end before you can shine. To shine is not by magic. It is more than just a miracle. It is not a onetime activity. It takes your whole life to shine. At this point, what does it takes to shine? Here are somethings it take to shine:

1.     1. Skills: Skill is an ability that has been acquired by training. It is the ability to produce solution to some problem domain. Skill is an acquirement, attainment, science, ability, and power. Nothing is impossible to skills except they are real impossibilities.

You can achieve or do anything with your skills. Most impossibilities do not exist, we simply create them. What does this mean? It means that most of the perceived impossibilities are fake or man-made or self-made.

With your skills, you are good to go the extra-mile to achieve that which you want. Your skills is your life.   

2.     2. Diligence: The term diligence means a diligent effort. It is a conscientiousness in paying proper attention to a task; giving the degree of care required in a given situation. It is the quality of being diligent; carefulness; careful attention; - the opposite of negligence.

It is interested and persevering application; devoted and painstaking effort to accomplish what is undertaken; assiduity in service. It is assiduity in some specific pursuit, assiduousness, activity, sedulousness, perseverance, steady application to some pursuit that one likes.

Diligence is persevering determination to perform a task. The meaning of diligence is all encompassing. That is, diligence is broad in scope or content. It has said it all. Diligence is everything one need to shine.

Diligence is all you need to shine. Diligence does not accept the word impossibilities. Impossibility in most cases, is unreal. It is man-made or self-made. Only a few things are impossible to man’s diligence.

3.     3. Perseverance: Perseverance is an attribute of diligence. It means persistent determination. It is the act of persevering; persistence in anything undertaken; continued pursuit or prosecution of any business or enterprise begun. It is steadiness, persistence, persistency, constancy, steadfastness, resolution, and indefatigableness. It is the act of persisting or persevering; continuing or repeated behavior.

Tell me one great thing one can achieve without perseverance. I doubt much if such thing exist. To surmount those depressing duties or works or responsibilities, having perseverance as a quality is non-negotiable.

You cannot shine without perseverance.  It is the act of refusing to give up on your dreams or on what you want to accomplish. To shine, you need perseverance.

4.     4. Resourcefulness: The word resourcefulness is the quality of being able to cope with a difficult situation. It is the ability to deal with unusual problems. To shine involves difficult situations and depressing or disagreeable or distasteful or unpleasant works. These difficult situations and depressing works become the problems one must overcome or surmount to shine.

 If you cannot cope with various difficult situations and depressing duties, as well as to be able to deal with series of unusual problems, you will end up casting down your shine. To shine you need to be resourceful. 

5.     5. Using knowledge: Using your knowledge is another ability that you need to have to shine. When you have knowledge and you cannot use it. It is a problem on you. Just imagine. How can you have knowledge but you are not using it. It is a waste of time and energy.

Using your knowledge brings more revelation. The more one use his or her knowledge, the more revelation he or she gets. And the more he or she shine. Your knowledge is meant to make you better and better and better.

The failure to use your knowledge will cast a spell on your shine. You can only shine when you are using your knowledge adequately and properly.  

6.     6. Positive thinking and creative thinking: As I think, I am. Thinking is a very essential factor that contribute to your shinning. How can you shine when your thinking is bad or negative or poor? It is not possible. I am who I choose to be and you are who you choose to be.

Thinking play a critical role here of who I and you choose to be. No one can ever grow above his or her thinking. You stop at the level of your thinking. You will always become who you are based on your thinking. Your thinking can make you to do great things as well as poor things.

So be positive and creative in your thinking. Without positive and creative thinking, it is very difficult to shine. Because as a man thinks so is he.

7.     7. Guts/gutsiness:  Guts means fortitude and determination. Gutsiness is the trait of showing courage and determination in spite of possible loss or injury. Fortitude is the strength of mind that enable one to endure adversities with courage.

To shine, one is going to face adversities. If you cannot face or cope with adversities, just forget talking about that which you intend to achieve. Because you would not get to the top on a Plata of gold.

Courage is the quality of spirit that enables you to face danger or pain without showing fear. If you cannot face the obstacles and bear pains of getting to your dreams, you will never get to your dreams.

Determination is the ability of being determined to do or achieve something. It is firmness of purpose. It is also the act of making up your mind about something. If you cannot make up your mind to achieve something, certainly, you would not achieve it. You need to have the guts and or the gutsiness to shine. 

8.     8. Strong and indomitable attitude: Your attitude is your king. It makes you to accept responsibilities or reject responsibilities. It also makes you to accept false impossibilities as real impossibilities or reject those false impossibilities. You cannot achieve great things when your attitude is weak or soft or poor.

In the face of difficulty, your poor or soft attitude makes you to desist while you strong and indomitable attitude makes you to persist. I have never seen any man who has gotten to the top, succeeding so with poor attitude to life.

Your soft attitude will never allow you to win your war or wars. Your poor attitude will block your shine. Your strong and indomitable attitude is your life. You need a strong and indomitable attitude to shine.

Anytime, you are thinking about what it takes to shine, these eight discussed above variables will help to stand tall.
