3 Difficulties or Reasons Why Most People Are Below Average Even though Everyone Has a Gift

If everyone has a gift or a talent, why are so many people below average? The problem of why many people are below average is centered round each person gift or talent. There are three aspect of our talent or gift, of which each aspect is a very hard work to do. Each of the aspect our gift is a work on its own. And this work is very hard. Most people do not want to work that hard. And as such, they often do little or nothing about these aspect of their gift or talents. Thus, forming the difficulties why so many people are below average.

1.     1. Laziness in finding your (one’s) gift or talent: laziness is the inactivity one experienced as a consequences of dislike for work.  It is the apathy and inactivity in the practice of virtue (personified as one of the deadly sins). The word apathy means an absence of emotion or enthusiasm. It is the trait of lacking enthusiasm for or interest in things generally.

When you dislike work, you will definitely become lazy the more. Lazy people always live to eat. They never get to achieve much. They choose their pleasure over their works or duties. If you are lazy, it is often said, that you would not succeed. Laziness gives people short-lived or flying pleasure but in the long-run, laziness elongates your pains. Finding one’s gift is a very difficult work.

It involved working very hard. And most people do not like to work that hard. Most people do not like works that are difficult. So they tend to escape from works that are difficult. Because, most people do not want or like to work that hard and likewise detest difficult works, they tend to find it very hard or even harder to find their gift or talent. How can you find or discover your gift?

To find one’s gift, you must seek out and do what is difficult and what challenges you. You must do what you should be doing or what is required of you. And not just what you love. You must get interested in doing what makes you uncomfortable and unhappy as well. You must observe what people are doing and how they are doing what they are doing. Get involved in activities that interest you or learn a skill or a trade. And then, pray about finding your gift.

Finding one’s gift is really a difficult or hard work that is why most people find it not interesting to do so. How can people find or discover their gift when they do not like or want to work that hard? It will be difficult or impossible to do so. Laziness is a gift or talent killer.

2.     2. Laxity in developing your (one’s) gift or talent: Recollect: Laxity or laxness or slackness is the quality of being lax and neglectful. The word lax means lacking in rigor or strictness. Rigor is something hard to endure. For example, pain or pains or difficulties.  Strictness is uncompromising resolution. It is a conscientious attention to rules and details.

Here, you cannot bear pains or difficulties or take pains.

And you, lack the ability to pay conscientious attention to rules or details and you cannot keep to your resolutions. When these are happening, you will be avoiding certain responsibilities that you are supposed to be doing.

Your attention to rules or details will be divided. Neglectful means failing in what duty requires. It is not showing due care or attention. It means full of neglect; heedless; careless; negligent; inattentive; indifferent; thoughtless.

When you do not accord serious attention to your duties or works or tasks, you are showing or displaying laxity or laxness or slackness.

How can you bring home your dreams or make your dreams come though when you are showing laxity or slackness. It will be impossible to do. Developing your gift is a very serious and hard work.

Most people do not like to work that hard. So they find it hard or difficult or tough to develop their gift. Instead of working hard to develop your (one’s) gift, most people show laxity in doing so. The question that come to mind here is, how can one develop his or her gift? You or anyone can develop his or her gift through performance of works or tasks. You develop your gift through engaging in activities or actions that are worthwhile and necessary. Success is daily activities or actions done well and properly.

It is through your inclination to work or your disposition to action that you can develop your gift.  So, most people lengthen their difficult or hard times due to laxity or laxness or slackness in developing their gift or talent. Be different do not elongate or lengthen your pains or difficulties or hardship. Learn to minimize or eliminates them by developing your gift. It is good for you.

3.     3. Slothfulness in using or giving your gift: Slothfulness is a disinclination to work or exert yourself. It is disinclination, hesitancy, hesitation, indisposition, and reluctance to work or take action or be active. Most people do not get to use their gift because of negligence, inadvertency, and the likes. Using your gift is work. When you show disinclination to work or indisposition to action or hesitation to take a step or action, how can you use your gift? You cannot be able to use your gift.

You can only use your gift when you are incline to work or dispose to action and when you are hardworking and diligent. It is in the act or process of using your gift that the law of multiplication come into play. You can multiply your gift. It is your choice to do so or not to do so. You either use your gift or you choose to bury it. You are who you choose to be. Most people refuse to use their gift because they choose to bury it.

It is quite unfortunate that the world is filled with people who are gifted but who never develop their gift. Finding one’s gift can be hard work, and then developing one’s gift can be even harder work. And that is why so many people appear to be below average. This goes to show that most people are not using their gift. When I look at the world of gift or talent, I begin to discover this basic fact that most of the people who have discovered, developed and are using their gift are living above the average life.

They have proven that, when you find your gift and develop it to the fullest and further put it to use, you cannot be poor or live below the average life. Our gifts are a means of taking us from the poverty life or least level of living to the upper or most upper or top most level of living. But on the contrary, many people or many of us are living below the average or below average life.

The three interconnected variables discussed above, give the clear picture of why most people are below average even though everyone has a gift or talent.
