which something or someone excels. There is excellence in everyone but some
people excellence is lying low or sleeping or weak. When your excellence is
down, you will not be able to perform well. Below are factors that weakens or
kills the excellence in you:
1. 1. Idleness and indolence and laziness: The word idleness is the trait of being idle out of a reluctance to work. The term reluctance is a certain degree of unwillingness. Indolence or laziness is the inactivity resulting from dislike of work.
When you are reluctant in doing your work, or when you are indisposed to action or show disiclination to work or dislike for work. This attitude of unwillingness to work or not being disposed to action makes you to ignore and forget your responsibilities or duties.
Idleness and indolence and laziness makes you to become soft or weak in your mind and strength. Thus, you now lack the vigor and vitality in doing your work. Thus, idleness and indolence and laziness weakens and kills your excellence.
2. 2. Careless/carelessness: The word careless is the act that is marked by lack of attention or consideration or forethought or thoroughness; not careful. While carelessness is the quality of not being careful or taking pains.
It is the failure to act with the prudence that a reasonable person would exercise under the same circumstances. When you are careless about your work or you give less attention to your work or there is total loss or lack of attention to your work or task and you are not prepared to take pains, you will not have the ability to bring out your excellence.
But when there is proper attention to your duties and you are acting with the prudence that a reasonable person would exercise under the same circumstances, will help you in reclaiming and restoring and regenerating your excellence. Carelessness weakens and kills your excellence.

4. 4. Doubt (1): Self-doubt: Self-doubt is lack of self-confidence. Confidence or self-confidence is freedom from doubt; belief in yourself and your abilities. Doubt steals away your glory. It limits your strength cast a spell on you and makes you unable to think deeply.
Most people make the wrong decision due to doubt or self-doubt. Self-doubt is an enemy of life. It prevent you from getting to the top. As a result of self-doubt, most people often love to grope the low way instead of climbing the high way. Self-doubt weakens and kills the excellence in you.
5. 5. Doubt (2): Dead faith: This is having faith without the backing of good works. Here, you have faith but the problem is that you are not willing to do good works. That is, there is faith but absence of works. You have faith but no good works to back up your faith.
What you are doing does not show your faith. Because there are no works to support or back up your faith, makes that your faith a dead faith. When your faith is preventing you from doing something or the things you should be doing, your faith is a dead faith. It is the faith that is making most people to accept and believed that favor is better than labor.
Having a dead faith, weakens and kills the excellence in you. You have faith but you are not ready to work, your faith alone cannot help you to excel or restore and reclaim and rejuvenate your excellence. It is your faith backed by good works or good actions that makes miracle to happen.
6. 6. Doubt (3): Weak faith: One aspect of weak faith is when what you are doing is not equal to your faith or increase or progress in faith. Here, you are doing something but what you are doing is not enough. Faith increases and decreases as the case may be. Your actions or works confirm the variations in faith.
Weak faith manifest when your actions are not align with your faith or your progress in faith. if what you are doing is below your faith, your faith is weak. Your weak faith would not help you to restore and reclaim and rejuvenates your excellence. To achieve excellence, take or raise the power of your actions to the level of your faith or increase in faith.
The second aspect of weak faith is over depending on God to do things which are really possible for you to do. God cannot do the things which are possible for you to do. He is more concern with doing only the things which are really impossible for you or man to do. Your attitude of over-depending on God makes your faith a weak faith.
That is you have faith but the faith is weak. Depending on God to do the things you should do or be doing shows that your faith is a weak faith. A weak faith weakens or kills the excellence in you or it cannot help you to reclaim, restore and rejuvenates your excellence.

The condition is if you are doing what is required of you, your hope is a lively hope. But if you are not doing what is required of you, your hope is a dead or false hope. So having hope without doing what is required of you makes your hope a dead or false hope.
