Why God Depend or Count on Me and You

Inasmuch as I or you count or depend on God for favors or blessings, to answer my or your prayers for good things, God on His own part also count or depend on me or you to do certain things He will never do for you. He believe me or you can do it. If I or you do not or fail to do it, it is not God’s fault. It is my fault or your fault. There are certain things that are really impossible for man to do or achieve, they fall under the part of God to do it. But there are other things which are very possible for man to do, that I must or you must have to do them. If you fail to do them, it is your choice not to do them. Here are some reasons why God depend on me and you:

1.     1.  It is my/your personal effort that count or matter much: Success is often said to be 99% my effort and 1% God’s input. Much of the works depend on me and not on God. Most times, you will hear people saying if God wants me to succeed, I will succeed. But the question is, do I or you want to succeed? If yes, the answer lies in your personal efforts or in my personal efforts. One’s personal effort is always the key. It is what count the most. Let’s ponder on the following statements concerning personal effort as the key reason why even God depend or count on me and you.

(I). Do not be depressed by apparent failure, prepared, if beaten or bidden to return a thousand times to the most disagreeable or most depressing duty- Legio Mariae

(II). No pain, no palm; no thorn, no throne; no gall, no glory; no cross, no crown – Legio Mariae

(III). We must do, what we can while we are still strong- Anon

(IV). One must give to the utmost of capacity- Legio Mariae

(V). Real achievement is dependent upon sustained effort, which in turn is the outcome of an unconquerable will to win. Essential to the perseverance of such a will is that it bend not often nor at all- Legio Mariae

(VI). The things I prayed for, dear Lord, give me the grace to labor for. –St Thomas Moore

(VII). They who are ever taking aim, make no hits, that they who never venture, never gain; that to be ever safe is to be ever feeble; and that to do some substantial good is the compensation for much incidental imperfection- Cardinal Newman

(VIII). God must be pursued and the more you chase Him, the more you catch Him- Maimonedes

(IX). Must not turn from toil and hardship- 2 Corinthians 11: 27

(X). The mark of the cross is a sign of hope- Legio Mariae

(XI). Must finish the race- 2 Tim 4:7

(XII). Young people have to work hard during the day to require their free time to rest- Legio Mariae

(XIII). Success is not achieved by sudden flight. Success achievers are neither sleeper nor idlers but they are real toilers- Anon

(XIV). Without personal effort a man cannot win or achieved victory either spiritual or temporary- Rev. Fr Ignatius Ukoh during a sermon

2.      2. Miracles do not just happen: Miracle do not just happen, God makes miracle to happen only when I or you supply or do the needful. Miracle happen only when I filled my jar with water or the right content. For you or me to rely on God, you or I must have somethings to offer, give and sacrifice. Our loaves and fishes, water, and faith are somethings we have and can give. They represent our strong faith, positive thought, healthy words and goal directed actions which we must be ready and be prepared to give out or sacrifice for our miracle to begin to happen.

Some of the needful things I or you must do for miracle to happen are: living in faith, do the things you should do or be doing, accept your responsibilities, stand by your works, pray faithfully, labor faithfully, attempting and daring, discerning, meditating, bring all your intelligence into your work and use your full strength in doing your work, be generous to yourself by giving the best into you work and pay maximum attention to your works or duties.

3.      3. Only few things are impossible to man: Most of the things are possible to skill and diligence. Only few things are really impossible. It is up to me or you to do what is possible to gain the treasure or the object in view or the crown. If I fail to do the possible things which actually I am capable of doing, God will not do it and He will not do the impossible. Most people increase the number of impossibilities in their lives due to faulty or defective imagination and by their poor or weak or soft or unhealthy attitude, they render those fake or man-made impossibilities as real impossibilities.

Attitude is the king. To think of spiritual or ordinary conquest without at the same time stiffening one’s spirit into that indomitable attitude would be sheer fantastic. If I increase the number of impossibilities in my life, who will I blame or pass the blame? The fault is me or you. Do you know that even God cannot draw you back? Nothing can draw or pull you back except you. God count on me to do the possible things and then leave the impossible things to Him.

4.      4. What I sow is what I reap: The way I or you sow, the way I or you reap. I or you cannot achieve or gain something different from what I am or you are aiming. If your level of actions or my power of actions are at lower scale, I or you should not be expecting the same result with somebody whose level or power of actions are very high and it is at the level of his cherished desires.

If I am chasing the lesser things, I should not be expecting the same outcome with somebody who is chasing after the important or much important things in his or her life. If I or you is busy doing every other things but what I or you should do and be doing, I or you should not be expecting equal results or outcomes with someone who is always busy doing the things he or she should be doing.

If someone is seriously going through his or her own problems or challenges and I or you is busy going round the problems or challenges at hand, those my or your problems or challenges will be left lying where they are not tackled. And the work will never be done if nothing is done about them. So, it is what you sow that you will reap. If you sow sparingly, you will reap sparingly. Buy if you sow abundantly, you will reap abundantly. The much you put or give, the much you get or receive.

The more you or I believe in God, the more God believe in me or you, and the more I or you depends or counts on Him, the more He depends or counts on me or you. One single reason God counts on me and you is that, He created me and you in the abundance of His grace.
