7 Things That Will Help You to Turn Your Fear into Bravery


Fear is to be uneasy or apprehensive about something. It is to be afraid or feel anxious or apprehensive about a possible or probable situation or event. It is an anxious feeling. It is the lack of courage; ignobly timid and faint-hearted. It is that which causes, or which is the object of, apprehension or alarm. Fear is to suspect; to doubt. It is to be afraid, alarmed, or frightened, have apprehensions, live in terror, and stand aghast. It is to be afraid or scared of something; be frightened of something. It is an emotion experienced in anticipation of some specific pain or danger usually accompanied by a desire to flee or fight. Here, are seven things that help you to turn your fear into bravery:

1.     1. Be always positive in your thinking: Thinking is having the faculty of thought; cogitative; capable of a train of ideals. Think is to recall knowledge from memory; it is to have a recollection. Think is to bring into a given condition by mental preoccupation. It is to be capable of conscious thought. It is to have or formulate in the mind. It is to focus one’s attention on a certain state.  It is to dispose the mind in a certain way. It is to imagine or visualize.

Negative thinking is one major problem of most people. As you think so are. Our thinking affect our realities. If our thinking’s are negative, they will affect our reality negatively. Negative thinking can give rise to fear. When fear dominate our thinking, this give way for negative actions to prevail. What you are supposed to do, you would not be able to them owing to fear. People do the wrong things because of their negative thinking. To turn your fear into bravery, be always positive in your thinking.

2.    2.  Always have a positive mentality: Mentality is the quality or state of the mind. It is a habitual or characteristic mental attitude that determines how you will interpret and respond to situations. The stress in the meaning of mentality is focus on the interpretation and respond to situations. This shows that interpretation and respond to situations by an individual can be positive as well as negative. If the interpretation is negative, the respond to the situations will be negative as well. But if the interpretation is positive, the respond to situations will be positive as well.

This is why it is often said that, mentality affects reality. Negative mentality or mindset can result in fear because of your negative interpretation of situations or circumstances around you. When your interpretations are based on fear, you will see things differently from the way you should have seen it. If negative interpretation of events around you can result in fear, then to turn your fear into bravery, you need to always have a positive mentality.   

3.     3. Be always optimistic, positive, affirmative and upbeat: To be optimistic is to be hopeful that the best is yet to come. You are always expecting the best and nothing but the best. When you are always expecting the best, this will help you to learn to always put in your best into what you are doing. Expecting the best in this best of all possible worlds help to eliminate fear. It keeps you staying strong, stable and happy. You are not wavering in what you are expecting. By so doing, you have succeeded in dominating your fear. To always turn your fear into bravery, be always optimistic, positive, affirmative and upbeat.

4.     4. Learn to develop strong, unwavering and unconquerable attitude: Fear proceed from the mind and heart. Your defective imagination and your negative thinking give rise to fear. Fear makes you doubt yourself and lose heart, makes your mind unstable, weakens your physical strength and energy, keeps you procrastinating, limits you, draws you back, makes you stagnant, makes you complain unnecessary. You keep giving excuses on why certain things or works cannot be done.

Sometimes we imagine things as impossibilities even when they are possible and by our weak and soft attitude we render them so.  Our weak and soft attitude affect our actions or realities negatively. Soft or weak attitude create more fear in people due to defective imagination. When fear dominate your attitude, you take possibilities as impossibilities. And thereby, you accept fake impossibilities. Thus, giving way to false impossibilities to always influence your decisions.

Most people are stronger than they think but fear causes them to think the other way round. Fear give rise to fake impossibilities in our lives. We reject our responsibilities, aim lesser or lower. We give in to disinclination to work or dislike for work or indisposition to actions or negligence or non-performance of duties or ignoring and forgetting responsibilities or evasion or dodging of distasteful works or most depressing duties because of our soft and weak attitude. Our attitude affect our dreams.

Positive attitude reject false impossibilities, and accept I can do it mindset or mentality. When you always get ready and prepare to fight to the finish is the quality of faith. But fear denied you of the opportunity to show what you are made of. Instead of become toughminded, fear makes you soft and weak and soft people cannot win their wars.

Indomitable means unyielding, unconquerable, invincible, not to be subdued. Your positive attitude makes you to accept inconveniences or to extend yourself without complaining. You are who you choose to be by your attitude. Your strong positive attitude destroys fear in you and helps you to stand out.

Having an Indomitable attitude helps you to be bold, strong and more confident in yourself. When you have an indomitable attitude to life, you have succeeded in blocking all the chances for fear to arise. So, to turn your fear into bravery, learn to develop strong, unwavering and unconquerable attitude.  

5.     5. Always make a positive confession or declare positively: The positive words propel you to go the extra-mile, to take pains or be at pains to achieve your purpose. But your negative confessions or words will discourage you from taking steps or actions. Confession is the acknowledgment of belief; profession of one’s faith. Your confession and your faith move hand in hand. Your confession is based on what is in your heart. Out of the abundance of your heart your mouth speak.

What you speak out can be positive or negative. The positive words affect your actions positively while the negative words affect your actions negatively. Your positive confessions make you bold and tough and eliminate fear from your life. When your words are negative and unhealthy, they create fear in you.

When fear dominate your words, your words influence and rule or govern your actions. When your confessions or words are negative, your actions tend to be more negative. To turn your fear into bravery, always declare positively.  

6.     6. Always belief in yourself or have strong faith: God banks on you. Fears kill our ambitions and limit us from doing the miracles we are capable of doing. Fear is an anxious feeling. It is lacking courage; ignobly timid and faint-hearted. It is to be uneasy or apprehensive about something. It is to be afraid or feel anxious or apprehensive about a possible or probable situation or event.

Fears distract people from doing the things they should really do. Fears divert people attentions to somethings else other than that which they are meant to do. Fears can make people to lose their hope in going after their dreams. When you have faith in yourself and in what you love to achieve, your body system respond to your faith and become lively and strong paving the way for the things to be done to be done.

Faith boast people morale and increases their strength and energy and vitality and makes them bold to face the risks and to pay the price. Self-belief is a strong motivation. It strengthens you to become hard and tough and with more confidence in yourself. Believing in yourself eliminate fear from you. It makes you to become bold and fearless. To turn your fear into bravery, learn to always belief in yourself or have strong faith. 

7.     7. Challenge the challenges that challenge you: The difficult things or works or duties or responsibilities which challenges you to bring out the best in you are the storms or the obstacles or the problems on the way. If you cannot challenge the things that challenges you, fear will dominate you. You can never move from glory to glory. If the storms over powered you or if you are only interested in dealing or tackling only the simple things or works you are not yet doing the needful.

By so doing, you have not started challenging the things that challenges you or facing the storms on your way to your glory. When you challenge the things that challenges you, this will helps you to kill the fears you have by so doing the things you challenge or the storms you face promote your self-confidence thereby eliminating or killing fear and self-mistrust or doubt.

If you do not challenge the things that challenges you or face the storms, you will not get the glory or favor or crown or throne or treasure. It is your ability to challenge the things that challenges you that count.
