6 Fears That Dominate People’s Lives and How to Curtail Them

People’s lives are often or frequently dominated by different kind of fears. These fears can be overcome if you really want to do it and the fears can overcome you as well. Fears kill our ambitions and limit us from doing the miracles we are capable of doing. Fear is an anxious feeling. It is lacking courage; ignobly timid and faint-hearted. It is to be uneasy or apprehensive about something. It is to be afraid or feel anxious or apprehensive about a possible or probable situation or event. Fear is that which causes, or which is the object of; to consider or expect with emotion of alarm or solicitude. How can you dominate the fears that dominate your own life? See below how you can achieve these or overcome them:

1.      1. Fear of the future: People fear the future. Man is often fearful of the future because nobody know what the future holds. The future for most people is strange because of this people give in to much fear of the future. What is the future? The future is the time or period or moment that is beyond today which is expected or anticipated to come. It is yet to come or happen.  According to an English Dictionary, future means yet to be or coming. It is referring to events or states that have not yet happened. The future is the time to come; time subsequent to the present; collectively, events that are to happen in time to come. It is about something coming at a subsequent time or stage. It represent the time yet to come.

The future calls you to prepare and be ready, to do the things you should do, to stand by the work assigned to you, to face the risks, to be diligent, to overcome the obstacles in your way or path to greatness, to avoid doing the things you should not do, to fight the battle to the end and to do the best to get the best.

At this point it is good to ask this question: why do people fear the future? The answer is very simple. They fail to take control of their lives. They take their lives for granted. They do not live their lives according to the rules. They just live to eat. Instead of eating to live.

Some people discover that their lives keep getting better and better. Why? Because they do what they are supposed to do. They avoid doing every other things but the main things. Because they are doing what they should be doing they are no longer afraid of the future. The future is now. Its’ start today.

2.      2. Fear of pain: Pain is anything that causes trouble; a source of difficulty and unhappiness. It is an emotional distress; a fundamental feeling that people try to avoid. Nobody like or want pain. This is the truth and it is a fact. Pain is the burden or the suffering or toiling or struggle or labor or the fights or wars or battles or obstacles you are going to experience or face in the journey to success. It is the works or duties or responsibilities to be carryout or done to get what you want.

The more people fear pain or pains, the more they stop chasing their dreams. People fear pain because they are more concern with satisfying the flesh. To indulge in pleasure of all kinds. To get the gains but not the pains. But pains are necessary evils. Pain is a necessity for growth and for survival. You need pain to succeed. Do deal with the fear of pain, pain is your work that you supposed to do and be doing.

When you are aware that pain is a work or duty or responsibility to be performed, you will stop being afraid of fear of pain. If you must succeed, pains goes with success. Ponder your mind on why the following principles are facts: (I) no pain, no gain; (II) no work, no food; (III) duty first, pleasure thereafter; (IV) nothing venture, nothing gain; (V) no cross, no crown and (VI) go to the end of your strength before you complain.

3.      3. Fear of rejection: Acceptance is an essential component of personal growth. It is one of the basic need of man. Rejection is the state of being rejected. They are no longer interested in chasing their dreams.

They are tired of chasing their dreams due to the fear of failure. Most people do not know that they only fail because they stop trying. Why are people always afraid of success? People are afraid of success because they do not want to try the more. People fear success because they think that success involves working hard or toiling or struggling or extending yourself or inconveniencing oneself or be at pains or take pains.

But I learned that success wants you to try even the more or even harder. And what is the demand of success? The demand of success is that I or you must had to try in order to be happy with myself or yourself. The more I or you try; the more I or you succeed. And the less I or you try; the less I or you succeed. Success is a joy.

To deal or handle or curtail the fear of success, you must try the more, do the things you should do, attempt the more and dare the more. Success is your daily actions done well. It must be pursue and pursue without ceasing. It is the doing and doing and doing of the things you should be doing, until your success come into reality. Stop fearing success just do the things you should be doing. When you learn to do just the things you should do or should be doing, you are okay. Your fear for success runs away.

6.      6. Fear of change: Change is the result of alteration or modification. It is losing ones or its original nature. It is the action of changing something. It is a thing that is different. It is to be altered; to undergo variation. It any variation or alteration; a passing from one state or form to another. It is a passing from one phase to another. From the meanings of change given above, you can see that nothing is permanent except change itself.

Change is constant. Change is a transformational or transfiguration process. Change tells more of our conditions which we found ourselves. That no condition is permanent. Most people are afraid of change because they are comfortable with their comfort zone and they think that change will affect them negatively. Those who want something better are not afraid of fear of change.

They embrace change because it is inevitable and necessary for their growth and development. To curtail or deal with the fear of change, people should learn to be open to change. When you learn to be opened to change, you will have no time to worry over any fear of change. It is change that brings about the much needed outcome people that people desired in their lives.
