4 Ineffective Ways or Actions That Lead to Frequent Failure

On a daily basis, people do the things they like and in the way or manner they like. Some of these actions or ways may seem right but often lead to frequent failure. The purpose of this article is to help people to become aware of those ineffective ways or actions that often lead to frequent failure. Here are the four ineffective ways or actions that often lead to frequent failure.

1.      1. Doing the lesser or lower or easy or things: Most people are very often, incline to do the lesser things. To chase the easy things. To spend much or all of their time on the less important things. The lesser things people prefer to do only brings short-term pleasure. The easy things that people are interested in may not always be the right things. It is good to do the right things and not the easy things. Because, some easy things may not lead you to where you actually want to be.

Doing the lesser things or the easy things can be a huge distractions. They take the biggest part of people’s time that they no longer have time for the higher or the right things in their lives. To be on the safer side, it is best to go after the important or more important things and to do the right things no matter how hard or difficult they may be rather than doing the easy things.

What takes or leads you to success is not the pursuit of the lesser things or the doing of the easy things but the chasing of the much important things and the doing of the right things. Doing the lesser things may carry momentary pleasure along but would not help you to get the object in view.

2.      2. Doing the right things the wrong times: The rule here is, do the right things at the right times. But the question that often come to mind is, what actually is the right time? Or when is the tight time? The right time is the time when the things you supposed to do should be done. It is the best period or time when those things you are supposed to do are performed without the influence of procrastination.

The proper time when the things you are expected to do are performed without unnecessary postponement. The right time is also the time when you do not feel like doing it. While the wrong time is when you feel like doing it. When you procrastinate, to do it later, when you are required to do it now or you are supposed to do it now. When you fail to do it at the proper or best time, it become the wrong time.

For example, in the school environment, some students delay their reading until when the examination is closer at hand, before they will start reading. These students would not get to understand the concept well or proper. They are just reading to just pass the examination and not to internalize the concepts. This is why many students indulge in examination malpractice during their exams. Doing the right things at the wrong time affect people’s expectations negatively.

3.      3. Doing the right things incorrectly: Another ineffective action that bring frequent failure is the doing of the right things incorrectly or unwell. Doing the right things and doing it properly is now becoming a big problem to many people. Doing the right things well is now seen as obstacles or hurdles to people progress. That is why or the reason for many people not willing to do the right things properly. Doing the right things is one thing and doing it the way or manner it should be done is another entirely.

Very often, you will see people who are doing the right things but the problem they are having is that they do not want to do those things well or in the required or expected manner. You will always find it difficult doing the right things correctly, when you are always complaining and giving in to your excuses or resistances. Let’s take the school as a case study here. It has become a culture for some students to find it too stressful or too hard to complete their note copying.

You have to force them to complete the copying of their notes. Yes, it is true that the copying of notes is the right thing to do but copying the note properly and to complete it, is more desirable by the teacher. If a student note is incomplete, it becomes an offense on the part of the student in question.

This act of not wanting to get one’s note complete can affect negatively the performance of the students concern. Because if examination or test questions should come out from where the notes are incomplete, the students would not be able to answer those questions. This is how it is with other activities of people generally.

4.      4. Doing the wrong things and taking it to be the right things: Success is often said to be our daily actions or day to day activities. On daily basis, people do the wrong things and take them to be the right things. People spend more of their time doing the wrong things or chasing the wrong things in their lives. They are doing the wrong things but are still expecting the same result with the other persons who are doing the right things. The right things are those things that you are supposed to be doing or expected to be doing.

On the other hand, the wrong things are those things that you are not supposed to be doing but you are always doing them. One major problem that stand in the front of people is this, ‘love what you do’ and ‘do what you love’. This is somewhat a deception. It is not explicit in its meaning and most people just swallow it like that.

What you love may be negative or positive, it may be less important things, and they can make you happy or sad. The wrong things may give you joy does not qualify it to be the right things. Doing the wrong things and taking it to be the right things is what is affecting most people progress or success.

At this point, it is very important to say here that the end does not justify the means. If the means are bad the end is also bad. Beside, success is relative and also has a spiritual dimension.  If you achieve what you want or desire through bad or wrong or negative means, you have actually or really not succeeded. In most cases, people who do the wrong things do not normally achieve their heart desires. Success, has its principles and if not obeyed or adhere to, it becomes too difficult to attain success, catch your dreams or desires and your genuine interest. Attaining or achieving one’s corrupt inclinations or passions cannot be termed as success in its ideal sense or way.
