33 Ways You Can Calm Your Unstable or Disturbed Mind Part 1
On daily basis, we are always disturbed by different things
which often lead us into frustrations, and more stress. We give in to worries
and anxieties. When your mind is unstable or disturbed by so many things, you
can learn to deal with or tackle the situations in several ways. Below are some
of the ways to deal with or tackle your unstable or disturbed mind.
1. 1. By praying or prayer: Praying is the act of communicating with God. It is a way of asking God for good things to happen to you or in your life. Prayer helps people to be strong and to stay strong. It is your believe that determined your prayer level. Some times our prayers are not strong enough because, we are saying the prayers in a selfish manners. And in doubt, we complain unnecessary. Prayer when said in the proper way, helps to relieve the individual of series of burdens that filled his or her mind and make the mind to become unstable or disturbed. Praying or prayer is a great way of calming the mind for those who care to know.
2. 2. By engaging in meaningful activities: The types or kinds of activities that we occupy ourselves also matters. Some of the activities are of less productive activities. In most case, people tend to spend or waste their golden times on less productive things than productive ones. If your activities or actions for each day are more of less productive ones than the productive ones, your will not be stable. Your mind will be everywhere. If your mind is everywhere, you will not be able to achieve much. To keep your mind undisturbed, you need to learn to engage yourself in the activities of more productive in nature. When your mind is stable, you tend to gain more and achieve more.
3. 3. Share your pains with good lovely friends and other significant others: People are suffering from one pain or the other in their lives. These pains caused a lot of discomfort to people. They make people’s mind to become disturbed and unstable. In order to help in making people’s mind to be more stable, it is good to look for good lovely friends, good neighbors, good family members, good teachers, and other good people around you or close to you. These will help you to be stable in your mind. Sharing reduces people stress in their lives. Most especially, when it is done with good people. To help keep your mind undisturbed or stable, people should learn to share their feelings and emotions.
4. 4. By having faith in yourself and in what you want to achieve: Faith is the confidence we have about ourselves and in what we want to achieve. This faith is called self- trust or confidence. We should also have faith in God. But faith in God begins with having faith in yourself. Faith helps the mind to be strong and to stay strong. It helps the mind not to be wavering. Until, you have faith in yourself, your mind will not be stable. To keep your mind stable and undisturbed, people should learn to have faith in themselves. This is very important. The main reason why people’s mind is unstable is because, they doubt themselves too often. When you doubt yourself, certainly, you will doubt God. There is no two ways about this. For God also counts on you.
5. 5. By self-acceptance: Self-acceptance is the act of accepting yourself the way you are with all your strength and limitations. The problem with most people is they have not learn to accept themselves the way they are. They are busy trying to be another person or persons. This is why, many people’s mind are not stable. Stability of mind is often achieve when one or you struggle to accept himself or herself the way he or she is. Just because, some people do not accept you or believe in you or they often say, you are ugly, should be the reason why you will not accept yourself. If you cannot accept yourself, nobody will accept you. And when nobody accept you, your mind will no longer be stable and unhappiness will set in. so, to keep one’s mind stable and undisturbed, self-acceptance is the key and is a must.

You know your strength, your weakness, your limitations, your belief, your healthy and unhealthy behaviors, attitude etc. Your ability to discover yourself is a critical one. Self-awareness helps you to do a lot self-analyses. By so, doing you able to filter the healthy things from the unhealthy ones. Your knowledge of self, helps you to keep your mind stable. Because you now know what you can do. And what you should not do. Self-awareness is really a good way to make your mind or one’s mind undisturbed or stable.

Loving yourself involved doing the things you should be doing and doing them the way they should be done. When you are doing the things that you should be doing, definitely, your mind will not be everywhere. Instead your mind will be on those things that you should be doing and you are doing them. It is in doing the things that you supposed to be doing, that one or you can achieve stability or stableness of mind. Instead of doing what you are supposed to be doing, you are busy doing the other things that you supposed not to be doing. Some people doubt themselves because they think they are not good enough. When you are doubting yourself, your mind will be wavering and unsteady. You will not have the confidence any longer. Seeing yourself from positive light helps you to boast your confidence and your self-esteem. You are able to stand for yourself. Your ability to see yourself from positive light keeps your mind stable and undisturbed.

By not accepting what everyone else thinks about you, if they do not approve of you: If you fond of accepting what everyone else thinks about you, they will contribute in killing your peace and make your mind unstable. The truth here is that, what people think about you are not as authentic as compare to what you are thinking about yourself. Our thought about others can be negative most at times. You are not to rely on what people are just thinking and saying about you. If you do, it will make your mind to become disturb and unstable. It is your ability not to accept what everyone else thinks about you, if they do not approve of you that promote your stableness of mind and keeps your mind undisturbed.
10. 10. By getting satisfaction from the simple everyday pleasure: The simple everyday pleasure, do not give most people satisfaction. They want something more than just the simple everyday pleasure. When you cannot get pleasure from the simple daily pleasure, it makes your mind most of the times not to be stable. As a result of not getting satisfaction from the simple everyday pleasure, your mind become disturb, you can no longer control yourself anymore. But if you are the type of persons that have trained themselves to get pleasure from the simple everyday pleasure, you have the power to control and make your mind stable and undisturbed.
11. 11. Always set realistic goals for yourself: When the goals you set for yourself are not realistic or are hard to be achieve by you, you will definitely give in to instability of the mind. By so doing, your mind become more unstable, and can no longer get hold of it. In order to achieve to steadiness of the mind, you need to always set realistic or reasonable goals for yourself. It is by so doing that your mind will always be stable. When you set goals for yourself and you are unable to achieve those goals, you will lose your peace, your mind becomes disturbed and unstable.
